The Nuclear Institute lectures in Thornbury - November 16 and 30
The not not-for-profit charity for professionals in the nuclear industry is hosting the events to provide local people with more information on the possible reactor technologies for the new-build programme.
The first lecture on November, 16 at the Armstrong Hall at 7pm, will be given by Adrian Bull, Head of Stakeholder Relations for Westinghouse UK. He will look at the AP1000 and cover its evolution, design and safety features, and touch on some of the current AP1000 build projects around the World.
The second lecture at the same venue on November 30 at 7pm is being given by Keith Ardron, Areva UK Licensing Manager. He will deliver a talk on the EPR, also covering its evolution from current operational designs, safety features, through to a review of the current EPR build projects around the World
